I'm trying a few new things with scratchboard. For this quick rendering of Audrey Tautou playing Coco Chanel I used a mix of scratchboard gesso and oil paint. I tried creating a textured shirt and hat by applying and then scraping gesso off the board and applying paint on the white areas.

Here is the coffee cup sleeve I just finished. The theme was red eye and it had to have something to do with planes or flight so I chose to render an owl. The image is done on scratchboard and then coloured digitally.

Past work


Here are some pieces I've done in the past couple years. I just thought I would add them for those who haven't already seen some of my work.
The wolf is done on scratchboard, the landscape is a matte painting I rendered on photoshop, and the last is an Edgar Allan Poe book cover using mixed media.
